I do not want to stop reading! The imagery in the beginning is terrific. I worked in Downtown for a number of years and I could smell the morning air as the descriptions reminded me of the detail we often overlook. I will not be getting much work done over the next few days!

A thrilling book. We seldom stop to realize how intriguing a crime scene could be for a police officer, and once you go into the book, you will not be able to stop reading it until the end as suspense starts building throughout the story. It keeps you going ‘til the end.

Until the next 3000 miles.....Great read....Chapter One had me hooked. JDH's details are on point. Following the crew on the run was comical and dark. You never know who is getting "whacked" next. Goodfellas meets Reservoir Dogs action. Would definitely recommend to crime readers. On edge for the sequel.

Growing up with a dad who was a corrections officer, America's Most Wanted was always on tv. This book reminded me I grew up watching a lot of that type of tv and still do. The story leaves you intrigued. If you want a good read this should be at the top of your list of must haves.

A Never Ending Thrill Ride
3000 Miles is an intense ride from start to end... I'm a usual Grisham fan, and this had me going the entire read. Makes sense the author is a cop, seems very realistic and true. Do yourself a favor and read it!

Very enjoyable and well written.
Utterly riveting. This book is unforgettable and un putdown-able (is that a word?). The plot moves so fast you need to drink coffee to keep up with it. I noticed that a lot of the action seemed to occur around food and meals and for a fleeting moment wondered if there was a deep metaphorical message about the deeper hungers of society, but something else exciting happened so I got distracted and didn't peruse the thought further. Which sums the book up totally, it is a total immersion experience that will transport you out of your life and into the characters.

His highly graphic and extensive descriptions coupled with dialogue that makes the reader feel he is right in the middle of the action make this book the source of a wild ride in the field of crime, and the numerous twists and turns that captivate the attention till the end. It is definitely a story that can turn into a movie worthy of Harris's genius.
